Haven't found any reference to this in MH info. The Yamaha Mio Gear is one of the best scooters in the entry-level segment. All I can vouch for is that the MH matrixing was as flummoxing then as it is to me today, so. I have used the CC plugin in PT and don't *think* I had to avoid running a second instance of it by clicking on the app, but I may have just left it all up and never had to re-open it. But put the plugin in the project and it's a different story. So clicking on the Console app was a given. I had only used the Console to get the MH signals into Reaper and back through the ULN2 to monitor, which you don't need the Console Connect to do, especially with creating MIO states and such. I previously hadn't used the Console Connect to integrate the MH mixer into the mix workflow in Reaper. And you click on the PLUGIN and it brings up all the MIO console windows. It turns out that the plugin *does* run the console even though the app says it's not running. The console app's icon showed it wasn't running, so I'd click on it, and get the error alert, which MH support quickly responded to as meaning it's trying to run twice. However you still need to open the MIO console to twiddle with it. Here's what was causing it: I put the MIO Console Connect plugin on a dummy track, whcih allows the MIO Console to retain all its settings in the project. Perhaps what you are trying is to use the MIO Console plugin in Reaper? I remember of something similar when using the plugin with Logic. Same here, works perfectly fine within Yosemite.
